Our Strategy
Century’s strategic approach is to develop our most advanced iron ore project, Joyce Lake DSO Iron Project, in the current cycle with the goal of developing our multi-billion tonne iron ore resources over the long term. Recognizing the cyclicality of the global commodities market, the Company has also seized counter-cyclical business opportunities to sustain the Company as we have done over the last down cycle, and preserve value of our iron ore assets from dilution in difficult times. While having a portfolio of massive resources of iron ore, which moves in cycles different from other metals, Century has taken advantage of identifying and investing in non-ferrous opportunities within its core competence to best deploy its internal resources to create value before the right conditions for iron ore arise, as it has done so generating cash and profit to distribute dividends to shareholders in the last cycle.
